  • Beneficial Reuse - We convert reclaimed, short, cellulose fiber - previously a waste product of the pulp industry that was destined for landfill or incineration - into CareFRESH brand small animal bedding through a proprietary process.
  • Safe and Natural - CareFRESH bedding is a natural, safe product for pets. Unlike other bedding products, it does not contain clays, inks, chemicals or other contaminants.
  • Compostable - After use, CareFRESH brand bedding can be quickly and easily composted instead of being added to landfills.

Our company

  • Renewable Energy - By using biofuel to provide energy in the drying process (with an EPA-approved scrubber), we have reduced our natural gas consumption in the manufacturing process by over 60%.
  • Water Re-Use - Our newest manufacturing facility features a “closed water system,” reducing water use and discharging no wastewater into the environment.
  • Reduced Freight Miles - Efficient packaging and packaging equipment maximize pallet and truckload capacity, reducing overall freight miles. And we now manufacture bedding products in facilities on the east and west coasts, bringing production closer to raw materials and finished products closer to the consumer.
  • Recycled Shipping Materials - Our pallets and slip sheets are recycled, further reducing environmental waste.
