Choosing Small Pet Food

Keep Outdoor Rabbits Cool

Rabbits can suffer heat stroke if the temperature is over 80º F. If your rabbit is lying stretched out and panting, he’s probably overheated. Bring him indoors and place a cool, wet towel around his ears to lower his temperature.

Guinea Pigs are Super Sensitive to Heat

Overheating can be very dangerous for guinea pigs, especially if they are overweight, so if he’s stretched out, panting, and weak, give him a cool bath and take him to the vet right away. And as with all small pets, make sure he has plenty of drinking water at all times.

Hamsters Need Moderate Temperatures

Keep a consistent temperature in your hamster’s cage. Keep him out of direct sunlight but away from cold drafts from fans or the air conditioner. And of course, never leave your pet in a car on a warm day.
