The CareFRESH Brand Story

At CareFRESH, we’re in business to make pet ownership healthy, safe and fun. All our products — from our complete line of pet bedding to our new small animal food line to be introduced in 2009 — are designed to make it easier and more enjoyable to own a small pet while helping pets live long and healthy lives.

Our company was founded in 1985 by Gordon L. Ellis, a professional engineer and geophysicist, who created a completely new, cost-effective way to develop pet bedding derived from recycled, renewable materials. CareFRESH bedding not only features superior odor control technology, but also absorbs up to three times its weight in liquid and lasts more than twice as long as wood shavings.

All CareFRESH products are safe — with no aromatic oils, harmful chemicals or contaminants — and provide natural comfort for small animals. And they are earth-friendly and easy to clean up.

Our product line includes all-natural CareFRESH Original, CareFRESH Ultra (for ultimate odor control and absorbency), and CareFRESH Colors and Confetti, which come in a variety of fun, nontoxic colors.
